印度制药公司竞购德国默克仿制药业务

印度兰巴克斯实验室公司(Ranbaxy Laboratories)启动了印度制药企业手笔最大的一次国外收购行动，它正与三家西方竞争对手和一个私人股本集团竞争，准备收购德国默克公司(Merck)的普通药业务。

本周一是竞购方提交初步报价的截止日期，据知情人士透露，最后共五家有诚意的竞购方，其它四家分别是以色列梯瓦制药(Teva)、冰岛的阿特维斯制药 (Actavis)、德国史达德大药厂(Stada)，以及Apax Capital和Bain Capital组成的私人股本集团。

就在兰巴克斯参与此次竞购的数周前，印度塔塔钢铁(Tata Steel)出资100亿欧元收购了英荷竞争对手哥鲁氏钢铁(Corus)。兰巴克斯的行动进一步证明，印度次大陆的公司已做好收购外国竞争对手的准备。

Ranbaxy Laboratories has launched the biggest foreign takeover attempt by an Indian drugs maker, bidding against three western rivals and a private equity group for the generic drugs unit of Germany's Merck.

Monday's deadline for initial offers lured five serious bidders, people familiar with the auction said, with Teva from Israel, Actavis from Iceland, Stada from Germany, and investor duo Apax/Bain Capital stepping up.

Ranbaxy's bid comes only weeks after India's Tata Steel bought Anglo-Dutch rival Corus for �0bn ($13.2bn). It is further proof that the sub-continent's companies are ready to take on foreign rivals.
